Atul Kochhar brings ‘Rang Mahal’ to Dubai

One of UK’s most famous Indian chefs is here to open up his culinary gates to Dubai’s notorious foodies and critics.

Kochhar brings his innovative twists to subcontinental classics in a fine dining experience at the new JW Marriot Marquis on Sheikh Zayed Road. Rang Mahal, as it will be called, will open by the end of the month.

The Michelin-starred chef is ecstatic to open Rang Mahal after years of visiting the city and looking for the right team to work with. He believes that Indian food is now appreciated internationally and that Dubai, being the culinary capital it has become, will welcome Rang Mahal with open arms.

Kochhar’s style is widely known to include traditional Indian cuisine with a modern twist. He draws his inspiration from his travels around the world and from across Northern and Southern states of India to create a superior culinary experience.

Dishes to look out for:

  • Konju Moilee, also known as a Scottish lobster
  • Okra and mango Fricassee and Moilee sauce
  • Changezi Champen, lamb chops with Tellicherry pepper marinade
