Emirates NBD, a leading bank in the region, organised an awards ceremony to reward participants in the fourth phase of its “Banker for a Day”; a programme that enables high school students to experience an actual working day at the bank.
Four students, Roohi Kapadia from Dubai Gems Private School, Rashid Ahmed Haffejee from Deira International School, Ahmed Al Moosawi from Victorian International School, Sharjah, and Farah Hussaini from Deira International School received cash prizes and trophies for their creativity and innovative approach to their newsletters. The first winner received an iPad branded with the UAE’s bid to host the World Expo 2020 in Dubai.
The fourth phase of the one-day programme saw participation from 48 students representing 11 schools across the UAE. As part of the programme, the students were also asked by Emirates NBD to present newsletters that detailed their experiences as ‘Bankers for a Day,’ as well as their views on why Dubai should be hosting the World Expo 2020.
