We all know that, how much Dubai loves a world record. And for all events they try to set one important idea behind mere celebration at its heart.
And so it is with a hearty cheer that we bring you news of Unilever’s health soap brand, Lifebuoy, teaming up with Dubai Health Authority to break the Guiness World Record for the most high-fives given by a mascot in three minutes.
As part of the brand’s help, a child Reach 5 campaign, over 300 guests took part at The Winchester School, Jebel Ali, to help raise awareness of the importance of handwashing on Global Handwashing Day. The finishing total was 323, and that includes children, mothers, caregivers and employees.
It is part of wider campaign, the world’s largest in fact, to change hygiene behaviours around the world. To date, it has reached over 337 million people across 28 countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
Running alongside the event were a series of special activities to teach children avoiding preventable diseases like diarrhea, that claim the lives of over 1.4 million children across the globe.
