A UAE consular section and a new visa processing centre have opened up in Indian capital New Delhi.

They were opened by undersecretary of the ministry of foreign affairs and international cooperation Mohammed Mir Abdullah Al Raisi.

This is the sixth visa issuance centre of its kind that has opened to process UAE visas outside the country.

The opening ceremony was attended by Najeeb Jung, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi; Ahmed Elham Al Dhaheri, Assistant Under-Secretary for Consular Affairs at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Banna, UAE ambassador to India, along with top officials from India.

Opening a new consular services section aimed at facilitating the procession of UAE visas to individuals and residents in India is likely to beef up the entry of Indians to the UAE by expediting the procedures to let them get access to the country through all electronic gates at the UAE’s ports.
