India trounced Pakistan in their opening ICC World Cup fixture in Adelaid, Australia. And what a victory. India batting first scored 300 in their 50 overs, and then sent the Pakistan team to the pavilion with only 224 on the board.
A scintillating century by Virat Kohli helped India open their World Cup Pool A match with a victory. Suresh Raina smashed a quickfire 74 from 56 balls and Shikhar Dhawan hit 73 after India elected to bat first.
In reply, Pakistan never got going and captain Misbah-ul-Haq was the only batsman to go past the half-century mark, scoring 76.
Bravo Team Dhoni! We look forward to many more wins this World Cup and take back home the Cup once again.
