Dubai, UAE: Taj Dubai – part of iconic hospitality brand Taj Hotels, Resorts & Palaces, recently won the award for “Excellence in Hospitality” at the Qadat Al Tagheer Awards during the recently concluded UAE India Economic Forum held at Mina A’Salam, Dubai.
The UAE India Economic Forum was inaugurated by Minister of Finance for India, Arun Jaitley who also gave the opening address. Hosted by Consulate General of India in Dubai, Bloomberg Businessweek Middle East and produced by UMS Conferences with strategic support from UAE’s Ministry of Economy, UAE International Investors Council Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Invest India. The forum addressed the policy framework and guidelines required to attract investors, sovereign wealth funds, large corporates and industries.
The two-day event brought together over 350 delegates from India, United Arab Emirates and other key markets, including Ministers of Economy, Industry, and Finance; heads of Investment in SWF, top banks and financial institutions; CEO’s of top companies and family owned businesses.
This year, the Forum launched the Qadat Al Tagheer Awards – an initiative to honour and felicitate business leaders and institutions for their achievements and for shaping economic ties between United Arab Emirates and India. Categories at the premier award ceremony included: Indian Businessman of the year, Emirati Businessman of the year, Indian Brand of the year, Emirati Brand in India as well as Excellence in a number of sectors including Retail, Finance, Healthcare and Real Estate.
