Veteran Indian film actor Om Puri passed away earlier today at the age of 66. The legendary actor, who is known for his roles in films such Ardh Satya, Bhavni Bhavai, Mirch Masala and Dharavi died after a heart attack.
In an illustrious career spanning four decades, Om Puri acted in over 250 films, his popularity transcending borders and traditional classifications.
During his lifetime, Om Puri received various prestigious awards including the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire and the Padma Shri – the fourth highest civilian award in India.
His funeral will be conducted at 6 pm.
